What Send The Song Actually Is
Send The Song is a simple way to say something through music instead of words alone. You choose a song that means something, attach a short personal message, and send it to a friend, a partner, a family member - or someone you're not ready to name yet.
In plain terms: send the song means pairing a track with a note and sharing it as a link, so the person on the other end gets both the sound and the sentiment at once. It's less sharing a playlist and more handing someone a note with a song already playing in the background.
You don't need an account to send one, and the person receiving it doesn't need an account to open it either.

Never by Accident
You decide, every time, whether your name is attached to what you send. If you choose to send anonymously, the recipient will see the song and your message, but not who sent it - there's no hidden identifier, no account trail visible to them.
If you're on the receiving end and want to know who sent you something, that's entirely up to whether the sender chose to reveal their name. We don't expose sender identity beyond what the sender themselves shared - not even to confirm a guess. This is intentional: anonymous means anonymous.
Messages are only visible to whoever has the direct link (or, for named recipients, whoever the message was addressed to). Nothing you send is posted publicly by default.
How to Delete a Message You've Sent
- Open the message link you originally shared, or find it in your sending history if you were signed in when you sent it.
- Select Delete Message.
- Confirm - once deleted, the link stops working for the recipient immediately, even if they'd already opened it before.
Note: If you sent the message anonymously and weren't signed in, you'll need the original link to delete it. There's no way for us to look it up by content or recipient name, since we don't store an identifiable sender record for anonymous sends. Deleting removes the song pairing and your message; it does not affect the song itself on the streaming platform it came from.
